Puccini’s La bohème

Thursday 30 December 2010, 7.30 pm  (non-subscription)

Friday 31 December 2010 7.30 pm (followed by the New Year’s Eve Gala–on stage!)

Sunday 2 January 2011  2.30 pm

The greatest love story ever sung,  the allure of Paris,  the most passionate music —La Bohème is THE opera for everyone!  Eugene Opera has assembled a cast of stars that can do full justice to both drama and music of Puccini’s romantic masterpiece.  Leading the cast are Metropolitan stars Emily Pulley, Yeghishe Manucharyan,, and Michael Mayes.  Joining them are young Canadian bass Tom Corbeil and the “lustrous” Jill Gardner as Musetta.

Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado

Friday 11 March 2010, 7.30 PM

Saturday 12 March 2011, 7.30 PM

Sunday 13 March 2012, 2.30 PM

Join us as we meet Ko-Ko (“the cheap tailor”) his lovely ward Yum-Yum, her beloved Nanki-Poo, “Lord High Everything-Else” Pooh-Bah, and all the merry inhabitants of the mythical “Japanese” town of Titipu.  Our cast is headed by Curt Olds (pictured–a “master of comic timing”) as Ko-Ko and 2010 Tony Award nominee Christiane Noll returning as Yum-Yum. The Mikado might be the funniest operetta ever written—come see why!
